Global Dimensions & Cross Cultural Connections
PASCH (German) & Litera Valley School Collaboration
Inspired by the ancient Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Litera Valley School, Patna promotes a global outlook that transcends borders, cultures, and ideologies. We believe that education must cultivate a global mindset, empathy and a shared responsibility for a better world.
LVS, Patna is a distinguished recipient of PASCH (Schools: Partners for the Future) title conferred by Goethe-Institut that establishes a network of schools to promote interest in Germany, German language, and culture. In India, the Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan is a key partner and supports the 50 PASCH schools through teacher training, curriculum assistance, and exchange programs for students and teachers, fostering long-term ties with Germany and enabling opportunities for studying or working in the country. Since 2012, LVS has been teaching German as a foreign language starting in Grade 6. Currently, around 1,000 students are learning German. Our students also take the International Fit in German exams, which are regularly administered by the Goethe-Institut (often with outstanding results).
PASCH activities and international exchanges are part and parcel of Litera Valley School after we became a part of the PASCH family in 2020. Before that, we participated in numerous events and competitions organized by the Goethe-Institut, including local and international training camps, Fit-Besten camps, theatre performances, and concerts. In 2017, we hosted a German camp organized by the Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the German Language Centre Patna. We also have a STEM partnership with the Realschule am Rennbuckel.
LVS is committed to peace, sustainability, cultural appreciation and grooming of global students who will grow into socially responsible, open-minded individuals set to contribute in making the world a better place.
